I would like to network my two garmin echomap dvs together Can i use garmin active captain or the livescope (obviously active captain would be easier) as a map to find this spot when i drive out? Is this possible by buying the networking cable or is there more to it?

Garmin gps map data for anglers running a garmin, lakemaster offers a line of gps map chips for garmin gps units for the following states / bodies of water I just got this unit and only used it once and really don’t know anything about depth finders North/south dakota , illinois/iowa, michigan, minnesota, wisconsin, and lake of the woods/rainy lake note

“insight” map chips are not currently available for garmin units.

Garmin however, i believe owns the data that lakemaster had provided in the past So, if you buy a garmin handheld, and buy the garmin chip or data, you are essentially getting a lakemaster chip I own a garmin colorado and have recently downloaded the midwest data directly onto my colorado. I spend the last week up on lotw with new electronics and thought i would share a little bit as there wasn’t a whole lot of intel on the interwebs prior to the purchase

Curious if anyone else has mounted a larger gps/fishfinder in their utv I caved and bought a garmin echomap 53dv from cabelas since they had them. What sd cards are you all using in your garmin units for saving quick draw maps Will any micro 32gb card do?

Your best best is to keep a smaller hb unit up front for all features you describe and run a garmin next to it for po and other sonar use

It’s essentially the only way you’ll get all the features your looking for, unfortunately. So my main priorities for a new unit will be clear imaging, gps accuracy and the map creation I have been pretty dead set for a while now on going with the garmin echomap chirp 73sv I like the di and si aspects, but what really got me going on it was their contour creation.

I have no type of map technology besides my garmin livescope and garmin active captain on my phone
